Today I will be bringing you my vegan avocado mask. My natural hair journey has proven the avocado mask to benefit my hair tremendously.

My first one was in 2018, hah I remember my roommate at the time being very judgmental (🙄 some engineers don’t know when to stop). No I have tried different versions of avocado mask, before some with mayo and egg. Some thing I will not want to be doing. But through all of the trials with the avocado mask in my hair I will say the avocado definitely does wonders.
This mask helps with strength, shine and growth. I love the way it feels so strong immediately once I rinse the mask out. I would typically shed a lot and have breakage from my week wet hair. After the mask I am only shedding what needs to go.
For the best of results consistency is key. To contribute to my self care and self love I do this. It is quite the process, one that I’ve made a part of my life now. It’s ultimately some thing I do for me. My goal is to do this once a month. Mindful side note: it helps me a lot to plan this with my menstrual cycle. Self love in your time of need to important for me, try it out.
This one that I made, is vegan. It just has banana, olive oil, avocado, coconut milk, and apple cider vinegar. (I am on the cusp of vegan and pescatarian if anyone didn’t know). The banana pulp are very pleasing smell once blended together.
Basic Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar
- 1/8 Cup of olive oil
- 2 large avocados
- 1/2 cup of coconut milk
- one large banana

Let me know how it benefits you or what benefits you the most. Can’t wait to hear from you!
