First of all, traffic can kick rocks. It takes me forty-five minutes in what I like to call brake-light chaos to get to work. On a rare day, without traffic, I am there in thirty minutes. I just can’t understand why this is my norm.
Let me be clear – yo comprendo. I just prefer to either leave an hour early or sit out those forty-five minutes. Sometimes Google Maps would even prompt me, “We found a quicker route using”.. blah blah blah. Heads up, don’t take their short cut. It ends up being the same if not longer depending on the sleepyheads or phone scrollers behind the wheel. I expect two-five accidents a day. Is that sad? I mean I hope everyone is okay and all but it’s brutal out here.
Now that I have moved, with traffic, my commute is thirty minutes. It means a lot to me to be able to save 15 minutes. Oh and I can’t forget to mention, my commute now avoids highways completely. It’s also not in the brake-light chaos category. Just good scenery, four turns, and some stop lights.
I hope those who travel far for work feel satisfied with what they do or at least with their income. The anxiety traveling to point A to B in Charlotte has become quite a thing. Now I can breathe easy, knowing much won’t affect my mood on my way into work. How is your commute to work? I’d love to hear about your commute in the comments.
Until next time! 🙂 ❤
